Cosmo's Red Worms

Vermi-Composting Directly into Organic Gardens

Experimented by Cosmo

I excavated a trench, approximately 2-1/2 feet deep, 3 feet wide. Sprinkle with rabbit manure, household organic garbage including paper napkins wiping clean the plates, then rabbit manure again. Add red worm vermi-culture, then organic debris again, mostly dead weeds and twigs on top, more manure, then add vermi-culture again. Finally on top of it all, add homemade potting soil, or dried worm castings and sand.

I plant things, mostly onion sets, and grow heavily watered vegetables, rotating three times a year. Worms are developing below.

After two years, this area should be turned over and let to dry and recycle itself through airing. So, I recycle directly into gardening spots and grow things on top, including zucchini.
