Wallingford Land Trust Publishes Second Newsletter

Wallingford Land Trust Lisa Toman Scholarship Awarded to Justin Wolf

TThe 2008 Wallingford Land Trust Lisa Toman Scholarship forEnvironmental Studies was awarded to Justin Wolf of Lyman Hall High School.Wallingford high school seniors planning for higher education in environmental studies. The $1000 scholarship for high school seniors planning for higher education in environmental studies. Justin plans to attend Paul Smith College in New York to study Forestry.

The Lisa Toman Environmental Scholarship was created in 2003 by the Wallingford Land Trust to encourage and promote the pursuit of higher education in environmental studies. The scholarship is in honor of Lisa Toman; a secondary high school teacher, member of the Wallingford Land Trust and Conservation Commission.


Wallingford Land Trust Publishes Newsletter

Second Trail Opens on West Dayton Hill

March 17, 2007
Thanks to Boy Scout Graham Page, the West Dayton Hill property now has a second loop trail. Graham, a member of Troop 4 in Wallingford, created the trail as his Eagle Project. The trail is a loop trail starting off the existing Martin's trail. The trail follows along the top of a trap rock ridge. It then descends the ridge heading back along the bottom and next to a cedar swamp. See the West Dayton Hill property page.


Trail to Spruce Glen Waterfall Opens

March 25, 2006
Thanks to Boy Scout Joe McLaughlin of Troop 4, the Wallingford Land Trust now has a trail to the waterfall at Spruce Glen. Joe made the trail for his Eagle Project. The trail offers a great view of the wonderful little waterfall. See the Orchard and Spruce Glen property page.


Trail on West Dayton Hill Property Opens

October 22, 2005
Thanks to Boy Scout Chris Martin, the Wallingford Land Trust now has a new trail. Chris made the trail for his Eagle Project. The trail climbs to the top of a trap rock ridge, which is one of the main features of this property. The trail now give the public easy access to this wonderful property.
